Deepest Beer cellar
In Mendig in the volcanic Eifel you can find the deepest beer cellar of the world. Between 1839 and 1876 in the brewer street we had 28 breweries. 1876 invented Carl von Linde the fridge and it was no longer neccessary to store the beer in the canstantly cool cellar. Only the former Wölker brewery left and changed the name into Vulkan (volkan) brewery.
