Rüdesheim on the Rhine River, with it's worldwide well known main alley called "Drosselgasse" invites you having a wonderful viny day. You can stroll around the village, go by Choo Choo Train or up to the "Niederwald monument" by an open cable car. Don't forget to have a "Rüdesheimer Coffee", a specialty of Rüdesheim, prepaired with a rüdesheimer brandy called "Asbach Uralt"
Cochem at the Mosel river, founded in 1294, is with it's round about 5.000 inhabitants the smallest district town of Germany. It is a touristical hot spot and opens his doors, different to the most German cities, also on sundays. The "Reichsburg Castle" at the top of the hill is a tourist magnet. Cochem is the center of a speciality called "vineyard peach". This is a special sort of peaches growing within the vineyards, red in the inside. In combination with sugar they produce out of it products like vineyardpeach- jam or -liqueur or -sparkling wine.
